A hackathon dedicated to creating things that have absolutely no value.
I worked with other Toronto based artists to coordinate and facilitate the Stupid Shit That No One Needs and Terrible Ideas Hackathon, the Canadian cousin to an event that was hosted at ITP. Over the course of a wild day, participants came together to develop apps that require peeing on your phone, mechanical turk self driving cars, and emoji languages. Complete with artist and comedian Tom Hobson dressed as a facsimile of David Byrne, serving soylent and jagermeister shots, a thoroughly nonsense time was had by all.
